Pferde am Arkusberg is a boarding yard near Gleichen in southern Lower Saxony that keeps horses in open herd husbandry rather than in individual boxes. Two separate herds, one of geldings and one of mares, live out all year with roughly two kilometres of tracks available and about four hours of daily pasture from May to October. Feeding is managed with rationed, low-sugar hay and every horse is watched individually by the resident team. Training and lessons are available on site with resident trainer Sarah Lojewski.
