Rosenhof Pferdehaltung is a family-run boarding stable (Pensionspferdehaltung) in Herkendorf, a small village in the scenic Weserbergland region of Lower Saxony. Set in an idyllic spot on the village edge and surrounded by hills, valleys, and woodland, the yard offers species-appropriate horse keeping with airy, high-ceilinged stables, spacious summer pastures, and winter paddocks. Riders enjoy extensive facilities: an indoor arena, dressage arena, jumping arena, lunging ring, and a cross-country course with a long gallop track, plus excellent hacking trails. An open stable (Offenstall) for a small herd of geldings provides freedom of movement, fresh air, and social contact, with separate hay and straw feeding stations and tree-shaded summer pasture. Horses receive individually tailored feeding, quality crushed oats, vitamin-rich hay or grazing, minerals, and fresh water, while thoughtful stable design and a circulation pump keep ventilation good and water unfrozen year-round. Rosenhof is also a certified training establishment for equine-management apprentices (Pferdewirt, service & husbandry).
