Reittherapiezentrum Warmenautal is Dr Melanie Horstmann's therapeutic riding centre at Spenge in East Westphalia. Its work rests on the observation that the horse can reach people whom other therapies have not, moving them physically, mentally, emotionally and socially at the same time. Sessions aim to build self-confidence, a sense of responsibility and independence for children and adults alike. The centre keeps its own team of therapy horses and involves families and supporters in the life of the yard.
