Rainer Gladtfeld is a qualified farrier (Hufbeschlagschmied) based in Aerzen in the Weserbergland. He works mobile, travelling to clients throughout the district and beyond with a fully equipped workshop that includes an anvil, tools and a gas forge. A trained metalworker who went on to complete farrier training and certification, he fits roughly 500 horseshoes a year and returns to shoe the horses in his care on a regular seven-to-eight-week cycle. His service covers hot-shoeing and routine hoof care carried out on site at the yard.
