Reit- und Fahrverein Lauenburg/Elbe e.V. was founded in 1984 in Lauenburg on the Elbe and is now based at Hohnstorf on the Lower Saxon bank of the river. The club puts youth development at the centre of its work, introducing children and young people to horses in a responsible, structured way. Instruction runs from complete beginners through to advanced riders, and members are taught horse care and horsemanship alongside riding. The club works from several training bases across southern Schleswig-Holstein and northern Lower Saxony.
