Reitsportverein Alpheide-Nienburg e.V. is an equestrian club in the heart of Nienburg an der Weser, based on the grounds of the Zuchtgemeinschaft Rippe-Lachnit at Reiterweg 3. Children start in the lead-rein group, learning to handle and sit on a pony through play, and many go on to vaulting, which builds balance and body awareness with a partner horse. Older children and adults take riding lessons and can work towards competing. The club has been registered since 1986 and is the organiser of the Nienburger Reiterfest, a long-running show with classes up to S* level in both jumping and dressage.
