Reitschule Alsterhof is an intimate children riding school in the Wandsbek district of Hamburg, close to the Alster river. Lessons are taught in small groups of just three riders, allowing individual attention for children from as young as three years old. The school deliberately limits its number of ponies and students to preserve a calm, family-oriented atmosphere, welcoming complete beginners as well as young riders progressing beyond lunge-line work. Its guiding motto, the happiness of this world lies on the backs of horses, captures the joyful, unhurried approach at the heart of its teaching.
